3 Easy Steps on How You Can Use Tapping for Emotional Healing, Managing Stress and Pain

If you are alive and breathing right now, you’re most likely facing stress, pain, health issues, challenges, anxiety, fear, lack of funds, fight with a loved one and probably angry, confused, or frustrated for what’s going on in your life, right? It happens to the happiest, nicest and even the richest person in the world. According to Oxford Dictionary, stress is a state of mental or emotional strain or tension resulting from adverse or demanding circumstances.

I was talking to a friend who’s going through tremendous stress, pain, and anxiety and took that opportunity to give my support and encouragement. I shared how EFT, mostly known as Emotional Freedom Techniques, helped me deal with my own challenges and how I continue to use it until today to release blocked emotions of anger, fear, doubt, negativity, which promotes emotional healing. Are you ready to dig deep? What is that one thing that is bothering you? I listed a few examples below so you can identify your own issue(s).

“I am in so much pain that I can’t even think of anything positive in my life.”

“I am depressed and life isn’t worth living anymore.”

“My back pain is stopping me from doing anything I love to do.”

“My marriage just ended, I’m a failure, the pain is too much to bear.”

“I’m not a good mother to my children.”

“I’m so overwhelmed with stress and the physical pain is too difficult to even get through my day.”

Try these 3 steps and see how tapping can help manage your stress, pain, and heal emotionally. And don’t forget to seek medical advice if your issues are beyond the scope of life coaching.

   1. Pick one issue that you believe is causing your pain and stress.

Your job is to pick on one thing in your life that is causing you pain, stress that shows up in your physical health. It can be anything that’s always popping in your mind. It can be a negative thought that’s bothering you.

      ACTION STEP:

Think of something that is causing you to feel afraid, anxious or hiding under your blanket. Write everything that you can remember. Now. Are you afraid to fail? Can you think of something in your childhood where you felt afraid, embarrassed and feeling like a fool?

   2. Assess the issue or difficult problem.

Breathe, soul sister! How do you deal with a very difficult issue or problem? Be aware of the negative thoughts that you play in your head. How would you rate it, from 0 to 10? Zero is the lowest and ten is the highest. Again, I ask you to write it down. Thinking is one thing but writing it down can be very powerful.

   ACTION STEP:

Congratulate yourself, if you have identified your problem and how it is really bothering your life right now. Now you are ready to focus on positive solutions. You are on your way to success!

  3.  Get ready, set up, and write your statement before tapping

It is important that you set yourself for success. Find a safe place where you can be free from any distractions. Grab your journal and start writing your statement to release emotional blockages through tapping.

  ACTION STEPS:

1. Acknowledge your issue or problem.

2. Write your problem on paper.

3. Focus on your breathing.

    Back Pain:  “Even though I am having this back pain, I deeply and completely love and accept myself.”

   Negative Self-Talk/Negative Thoughts: “Even though I am struggling with negative self-talk or negative thoughts, I deeply and completely love and accept myself.”

This Embarrassing Time at my 9th Grade Class: “Even though I have this embarrassing time at my 9th grade, I deeply and completely love and accept myself.”
